MY SCHOOL, MY CHOICE
MY SCHOOL, MY CHOICE

There are many schools in FCT, but my school is Centre for Islamic Excellence Nursery& Primary school Abaji-Abuja which remains my choice of school. My school; Centre for Islamic Excellence Nursery& Primary school Abaji-Abuja is a co-educational private school established in Abaji Area Council in Sept, 2011.  My school offers both secular and Islamic education at an affordable fee of N4000 per term.
My school has appreciable number of qualified teachers and facilities that facilitate teaching and learning such as a school bus, generators, textbooks, computers and other teaching and learning materials.
My school, Centre for Islamic Excellence Nursery& Primary school Abaji-Abuja; is my choice because it appeals greatly to me for the following reasons:
Firstly, affordable education; in the face of our current economic hardships where many states cannot afford to pay workers salaries and other hardships faced by Nigerians, my school has remained considerate to the plight of parents/Guardians by making the registration and terminal school fees affordable and also allow parents to pay in installments which enables many children with poor parents acquire good education in tune with religious teachings and modern technology.
Secondly, employment of adequate and qualified teachers; unlike other schools where a single teacher is assigned to a particular class and teaches all the subjects, in my school, we have many qualified teachers in their respective fields; with a thorough knowledge and experience that teach different subjects. This enables our teachers to efficiently teach and concentrate on each individual pupil and any pupil lagging behind so as to give the appropriate guidance and supports required to attain high standards in academic and moral virtues.
Thirdly, scholarships; one of the major reasons why my school is endeared to me and makes it my choice is the offering of scholarships to pupils who become orphans while attending the school. These scholarships include free education, provision of free textbooks, uniforms and free excursions. The scholarships enable such pupils to continue their education thereby reducing the pains of losing their parent or parents.
Furthermore, community service scheme; the school has a leadership program which teaches pupils the need to cultivate humane values that are needed in building an enduring society. The scheme tagged ‘sadaqatun-jariya’ offers free medical services for minor ailments to aged people and widows at PHC clinic Ayaura Abaji, donation of food items to widows and physically challenged people and provision of meat during sallah ceremonies. Under this scheme, the pupils are encouraged to embark on sanitation exercises such as cutting of grasses, picking litter in the neighbourhood, donation of food items and clothes to the less privileged and orphans in Abaji Area Council.
Lastly, extracurricular activities; my school has excellent sports facilities and pupils are always encouraged to take part in at least one sport activity to build team spirit and help in keeping physical fitness. Also, the school organizes inter-faith lectures aimed at inspiring critical-thinking and balanced judgement about Islam and Christianity to encourage peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians.
My school; Centre for Islamic Excellence Nursery& Primary school Abaji-Abuja, is my choice for her sheer commitment to the ideals of morality, academic excellence, religious values, innovativeness and extent of courage in community service in spite of our current economic hardships.
My school, Centre for Islamic Excellence Nursery& Primary school Abaji-Abuja; strongly believes Nigeria’s future development depends on raising children who are well prepared and equipped with qualitative education and humanizing values to take their place in tomorrow’s global society, hence my school is my choice.
