A Christian cleric, Pastor Adedeji Adebowale Samuel, yesterday told a customary court sitting in Oja-Oba, Ibadan, that he is seeking divorce from his wife, Taiwo, because she slapped him three times.
Pastor Samuel told the court that he met Taiwo about three years ago but that she had turned to be “a troublesome” woman who was always determined to fight with him.
He said his wife had no respect for anybody, including her own parents. He added that she relocated from their matrimonial home without his knowledge.
“She is wicked. She has a habit of tearing my clothes whenever we are having issues,” he told the court.
Taiwo was not in court to defend herself on the allegations.
The president of the court, Chief Ademola Odunade, dissolved the marriage and ordered the court bailiff to serve the defendant with the court judgment.
