The Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationalities in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) has extended felicitations to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a statement by its President, Dr. Kennedy Tonjo West, the organisation reflected on Senator Akpabio’s public life with the kind of measured admiration one hears often across the Niger Delta. Dr. West described him as a son of the region who rose to national prominence without losing his instinct for bridge building or his steady commitment to the country’s long-term wellbeing.

He observed that Senator Akpabio’s trajectory from state governance to the federal executive and now to the leadership of the Senate has been marked by an unmistakable drive for development.

In his words, the Senate President has shown a readiness to confront difficult questions and still keep faith with the people who look to him for direction.
