In Bauchi State, 4,834 young men and women have been deployed to various communities and localities under the auspices of the N-Power Volunteer Corps Scheme. This makes it one of the top three performing states in terms of deployment numbers – a feat that has been attributed to the massive mobilization and free registration of applicants facilitated by Governor Mohammed Abubakar. In addition, through the payment of monthly stipends to the volunteers between December 2016 and April 2017, the federal government’s Social Investment Programmes has infused the Bauchi State economy with the sum of N 447, 280, 000.
