The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has released its annual report, revealing that it spent a total of N1.8 billion on security initiatives within the state over the past year.

The funds were allocated towards various security interventions aimed at enhancing the safety and well-being of residents and visitors in Lagos State.

These initiatives included the procurement of equipment and logistics for security agencies, training programs for security personnel, and community-based security projects.

The LSSTF, established in 2007, is a public-private partnership aimed at supporting the Lagos State Government’s security efforts.

The fund relies on donations from corporate organizations, individuals, and other stakeholders to carry out its activities.

Speaking at the 19th Annual Town Hall Meeting, on security with the Governor yesterday in Lagos, the Executive Secretary/CEO LASSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunso, said: “We received donation of N1,848,406,100.00, while total expenditure on interventions for the year stood at N1,775,543,613.81 as of the same date.”
