It is said that the Federal Government is set to spend N2.7 trillion on infrastructure all over Nigeria. I do not trust and believe this at all. This is simply another way for government officials to embezzle money. There is literally no accountability or transparency in government business.
The citizens of this country are not privy to any information that will help them keep track of previous funds allocated for infrastructure. Will this project be any different? I doubt that.
But it will be nice to trust that government will follow through on their plans. It would be a shame if such amount of money is looted. I guess we have no option than to keep our fingers crossed.
