Director General of President Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation in Bauchi South senatorial zone, Alhaji Bala Abdullahi Maiauduga, confirmed the development at a press conference in Bauchi, saying the N230m given by the presidency to support the party and its candidates is yet to reach the organisation.
Maiauduga, who is also the Director General of Governor Yuguda Campaign Organisation, said the State Campaign Council has already set up a committee headed by Governor Yuguda to find the missing funds.
He said the money was released to the council in two batches of N80 million and N150 million but were diverted by some prominent persons in the party.
Maiauduga said the party has however asked the governor to investigate and find the missing funds.
On the feud between the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed and Yuguda, Maiauduga said they have already reconciled as he said the minister had apologized to Governor Yuguda.
He said the minister had already collapsed all his campaigns structures into the Bauchi State Campaign Council and contributed a lot to the campaign organisation for the success of all PDP candidates.
The DG said President Jonathan’s visit to Bauchi last Monday had diminished the fear that any political party can defeat PDP in the North East region.
