The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity, Senator Diket Plang has assured that the provisions in the 2025 budget, Nigeria’s economy will be repositioned and boost developmental initiatives.

The senator, who is representing the Plateau Central Senatorial zone, said the budget also addresses key areas, including defence, infrastructure, health and education, adding that President Bola Tinubu-led administration is leaving no stone unturned to reposition Nigeria’s economy and ensure good governance.

Speaking in Jos the Plateau State capital during a media chat, he acknowledged that there are challenges in the country, but expressed confidence in the administration’s ability to tackle them through strategic investments and policy implementation.

He called on Nigerians to support the government’s efforts, stressing that their cooperation is crucial for the successful implementation of the 2025 budget.

He said: “The budget captures human capital and infrastructure development such as the construction of a six-lane road linking Akwanga, Jos and Gombe, a route that has been in a state of disrepair for years.

“So, with the provisions in the 2025 budget, I believe we are on the right path as a country. This is an opportunity for Nigeria to push its development agenda forward.”
