Manu, who represented Governor Darius Ishaku, said the road, which links three local government areas of the state, would open up communities to enable the people, who are mainly farmers, move their produce to the market.
He also commended Senator Emmanuel Bwacha for initiating and lobbying the Federal Government to release funds to the contractor handling the project.
Speaking earlier, Senator Bwacha commended President Buhari for approving the award and release of funds for the project.
He said despite the fact that the area where the project was sited is a stronghold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the president still approved it because of his passion towards developing all parts of the country.
Bwacha urged the contractor to ensure delivery of quality work within the three-year completion period.
