The Nigeria Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Bayelsa State, says it has arrested 105 persons in the state between January to June, 2019 for dealing with various types of illicit drugs and also seized 27.35 kilogrammes of hard drugs in the state.

The Commander of NDLEA in the state, Abdullahi Abdul, during a news conference in Yenagoa to mark the 2019 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, said the agency also seized different types of illicit drugs in different parts of the state, including: 32.125kg of cannabis sativa, 0.103kg of cocaine,  0.055kg  of heroin, 777 tablets of Tramadol, 5,223 tablets of Diazepam 187 tablets of Swinol, Lexotan/Exol-5 2,855 tablets and mixture of 33.28 litres of  cannabis and alcohol.
