The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has partnered with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to enhance its ICT infrastructure and digitise its examination processes.

Speaking in Benin, NABTEB’s Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, said the initiative is designed to streamline operations, improve security, and increase accessibility to the board’s services.

He noted that the collaboration aligns with the federal government’s plan to transition all examination bodies to Computer-Based Testing (CBT) by 2026, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the directive of the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa.

“Given our critical role in assessment and certification for technical and vocational education, a robust ICT foundation is essential for delivering on our mandate,” Dr. Mohammed said.

He commended NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman, Mr. Khalil Halilu, for pledging to deliver a fully equipped ICT facility to NABTEB within six months.

Also speaking, NASENI’s Special Adviser on Emerging Technology, Mr. Bashir Aliyu, reiterated the agency’s commitment to supporting the digitisation of NABTEB’s examination systems.
