The National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control, (NAFDAC) yesterday destroyed various counterfeit goods worth N650million in Kaduna.

The Director-General of the agency Professor Mojisola Adeyeye explained that the essence of the exercise was to get rid of spurious products from circulation.

Products destroyed include substandard and falsely labeled medicines, unwholesome food products, cosmetics and other counterfeit products.

According to her, drug counterfeiting is an act of economic sabotage and terrorism against public health.
