The Commissioner of Policy, Personnel and Finance (PPMF) at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Aliu Abdulrazak, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He was released alongside the agency’s Director of Finance and Accounts (DFA), Aminu Y. Muhammed.
Although Daily Trust could not ascertain the exact time they were released, a source at the anti-graft agency said they were granted administrative bail after a concrete agreement was reached on how to refund some monies allegedly diverted.
Daily Trust had earlier reported that both officials of NAHCON honoured an invitation extended to them by the commission on Monday.
They were with the commission till Tuesday, where they were reportedly providing explanations on how some funds were expended during the 2025 Hajj exercise.
The spokesman of the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, could not be reached as of when filing this report last night.
