In preparation for the 2023 Hajj, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has disclosed plans to enter into partnership with the Indonesian Hajj Mission to develop and strengthen its information technology and financing for enhanced service delivery during this year’s hajj. A statement by the Assistant Director of Information and Publications, Mousa Ubandawaki, yesterday stated that the Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, said ICT and hajj funding was crucial to the success of any hajj arrangement and therefore needed to be pursued and strengthened to ensure the health and well-being of Nigerian pilgrims were better delivered

Speaking during the ongoing four-day hajj and Umrah Expo Jeddah, Hassan expressed optimism that the partnership would impact positively on the outcome of 2023 Hajj. He said, “I look forward to a robust relationship between our two organisations, which I believe if discharged diligently will benefit the Nigerian pilgrims as well as enable us to achieve a successful hajj outing.”

On his part, the leader of Badun Langella Kenangan Hajj (BPKH), Foodlul Imansyah, emphasised the crucial place of ICT and funding in the success of hajj and Umrah.

He advised NAHCON to ensure the digitalisation of its operations in the interest of the pilgrims as well as the nation, adding that the partnership would help to cement the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
