NAICOM synergises with police on compulsory insurance

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) says it is currently cementing its collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on the enforcement of compulsory insurance in the country.

The announcement was made during a courtesy visit by the Commissioner for Insurance/Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr. Olorundare Sunday Thomas, to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Kayode Egbetokun, yesterday, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr Thomas said, “The visit was to explore ways of strengthening collaboration with the police in the areas of enforcement of compulsory insurance.”

He added that NAICOM is also partnering state governors and other related stakeholders in ensuring that insurance penetration is deepened in 2024

In his response, the IGP hailed the support of the commission with regards to the insurance advocacy while reiterating the Nigerian Police Force commitment to partner with NAICOM in driving insurance coverage in the country.
