Nanet Suites’ Hall of Fame is a place where information about Nollywood stars can be sourced.

Every month, the hotel honours an actor/actress as part of its corporate and social responsibility.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nanet Hotels Limited, Mr Ini Akpabio, said, “We have a lot of positive things we can give out. When RMD steps on European soil, he is celebrated.”

Akpabio stressed that Nigerian actors were watched all over the world and so there was need to support them. “By assisting them, we are repositioning the industry,” he added.

Proprietor of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Ray Power FM, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, congratulated RMD for his contributions to Nollywood, describing him as a professional to be emulated.

“RMD is not only Nigerian but international brand,” Dokpesi stressed stirring up thunderous cheers in the large crowd. RMD is currently a commissioner in Bayelsa State.

Others present at the event were the Director General of Nigerian Films Corporation, Mr Emeka Mba, Executive Director News, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Mrs Eugenia Abu and many music and movie actors.

So far, five Nollywood stars have been honoured. They include: Zack Orji, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Emeka Ike and, recently, RMD.

The above movie stars have had their photos and profiles conspicuously displayed in the hotel for visitors to see and read about them.
