NAOS Congratulates New Chief of Defence Staff, Commends Tinubu for Military Reshuffle

The National Association of Oduduwa Students (NAOS) has congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, describing his elevation as well-deserved and a reflection of merit and competence.

In a statement signed by its National President, Amb. Olalere Benedict Adetunji, and Public Relations Officer, Amb. Ajadi Ibrahim, the association commended President Bola Tinubu for what it called a “thoughtful and strategic reshufflement” of the military leadership.

According to NAOS, the President’s decision demonstrates a strong commitment to professionalism, efficiency, and national balance in the management of Nigeria’s defence structure.

“The appointment of General Olufemi Oluyede, a distinguished Yoruba son, is a source of pride and inspiration to the entire Yoruba nation and a testament to President Tinubu’s belief in fairness and inclusion,” the statement said.

The group expressed confidence that General Oluyede would deploy his vast experience and leadership skills to strengthen professionalism and restore confidence in the Armed Forces.

It also reaffirmed its support for the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in efforts to reposition key national institutions for stability, security, and sustainable development.
