Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) has made an on-the spot assessment of the level of development at the ongoing construction of Lafia Airport.

Speaker Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi led members of the House on an oversight visit.He said, “the oversight visit was part of the House’s constitutional responsibilities in ensuring that the right thing is done by the executive.”

We just decided as members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to come and have on the spot assessment of this ongoing airport project.

Ibrahim Balarabe said that the construction of the Airport by the state government would boost the economy, create more employment opportunities and boost the social status of the people of the state.”

In his response, Site Engineer, Engineer Odeh Okopi said the airport construction would be completed by May, 2019 as the control towers, terminal building and runway are been completed.
