Nasarawa assembly assures citizens of robust legislation

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has assured the people of the state to expect robust legislation from the 6th Assembly as the house resumes from a six-week recess on Monday, February10, 2020.

In a statement, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna, said the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Adamu Mohammed Omadefu, gave the assurance when he addressed newsmen in Lafiya on Sunday.

Omadefu told the newsmen that, “I want to disclose to you that in the last six months before we went on our recess, the house deliberated on 14 bills in which nine have been passed. Five of the bills were in various stages of passage,” and added that, “All we are focusing on is the issue of development of the state.”

Omadefu, therefore, solicited the support and prayers of all the people of the state to enable the house succeed in the task ahead.

He also urged the people of the state to be patient and support government at all levels in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
