Nasarawa assembly to support NSUK

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly,  Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, has reiterated that the state legislature will enact laws that will uplift the standard of education at the Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) to international standard.

Rt. Hon. Balarabe-Abdullahi made the statement when the acting Vice Chancellor of the state university, Prof. Suleiman Bala Mohammed, paid him a courtesy visit.

He said, “The state university is one of the only assets of the state, hence the need for the assembly to give it topmost priority to achieve desirable result. The assembly will do all it can to support the university in order to uplift the institution to international standard.

The acting VC, Prof. Mohammed, said he and his team were in the assembly to appreciate the speaker and the legislators for encouraging the improvement of the standard of education in the institution.

Prof. Mohammed added that, “I and my team will abide by all the rules and regulations guiding the university by adhering to the 80 and 20 per cent admission quota for indigenes and non-indigenes.”
