The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, on Thursday, launched its maiden compendium which chronicles its journey since inception in in 1999.
Speaker of the House, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, said the compendium was a historical record of immense legislative value; being the first of its kind in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly since the advent of the current democratic dispensation.

The compendium, titled: “Nasarawa State House of Assembly Compendium 2022: The Journey So Far 1999-2022”.
He said the publication set out to give a synopsis of the major activities, events and people that left indelible impacts on the journey of the assembly since its inception in 1999.
He added that as a leader, three judgements awaited one: the judgement of God, the judgement of the people and the judgement of posterity.
He explained that, “My attempt to fulfill my obligations in line with the judgment of posterity brought the idea to do the compendium.”
He commended his spokesman, Jibrin Gwamna, and his team who made the compendium a reality.
In his speech, Governor Abdullahi Sule, represented by his Deputy, Dr Emmanuel Akabe, commended the speaker for coming up with such a wonderful idea.
A former speaker of the house, Dr Musa Ahmed Mohammed, who was the chairman of the occasion, appreciated the speaker for coming up with the compendium, which he said would serve as reference material in the state.
