All Progressives Congress (APC) female governorship aspirant Dr. Fatimah Abdullahi has accepted defeat in the party’s primaries and called on her supporters to back Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, who emerged as the APC candidate for Nasarawa State.

In a statement issued on 23 May 2026, Abdullahi thanked party faithful and supporters for their commitment during the campaign, saying the contest was about building “a stronger, more inclusive Nasarawa State where every voice matters.”

“The party has spoken, the people have decided and I fully accept the outcome of the primaries,” she said. “I congratulate Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada on his emergence as the APC candidate.”

Abdullahi urged her coordinators and well-wishers across the state to rally round Wadada and work for the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections. She reaffirmed her commitment to the APC and pledged to support the party at all levels.

She calledl for greater inclusion of women in politics.

“This moment must also be a call to action for greater women inclusion in politics and decision-making,” Abdullahi said. “For too long, women have been underrepresented at the table where policies that affect our families, communities, and future are made.”

She encouraged women in Nasarawa State to register, organize, contest, support, and lead, saying their perspective was essential to responsive and accountable governance.
