The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has commissioned a classroom block at the Government Secondary School (GSS) and Magistrates’ Court in Shafa-Abakpa in Toto Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking at the commissioning, Gov. Sule said his administration, in collaboration with the office of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), had also embarked on the construction of classroom blocks in Angwan Jarme, Mahanga and Mararaban Gongon in Kokona, Awe and Wamba local government areas.

Gov. Sule said, “I made a pledge to extend similar gestures to other schools that are still lacking basic infrastructure for effective teaching and learning.”

He said it was on that premise that the state government constructed the ultramodern classroom block and office accommodation at GSS, Shafa-Abakpa.

The governor, who also commissioned a newly built Magistrates’ Court in Toto, commended the Chief Judge of the state for donating the project.

He noted that the project was significant, considering to role in the dispensation of justice to the common man, saying, “It is for this reason that we remain committed in the provision of necessary enablement to enhance effective dispensation of justice in the state.”

The governor, who also flagged off the distribution of 4,000 deworming tablets for under-five children, said it was intended to free the children from worm infestation.

He also gave Vitamin A supplements to 600 pregnant women and children towards boosting their immunity and improving their vision.
