The Nasarawa State Government said it has recently attracted investments worth over $500 million (about N207.9bn) to add value to the economy of the state.
This was disclosed by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nasarawa State Investment Development Agency, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, at a media briefing in Lafia, the state capital, on Thursday.
According to him, NASIDA was able to attract the investments to the state in the almost three years of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration because of the governor’s commitment to ensure that the state was industrialised, which would in-turn, create jobs for the youths.
He said, “We have closed significant 13 Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and over eight business environment initiatives have been implemented.”
He further said some of the investments attracted to the state were Nasarawa Transport Company, Karu Retail and Recreational Mall, Cassava Processing Park, Nasarawa Technology Village, Nasarawa Agriculture Commodity Company and Meter Manufacturing Plant.
