Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency, (NSHIA) has commenced the enrolment and biometric data capture of formal sector in the state.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Gaza Gwamna, said in Lafia that, “The Agency is appealing to the residents of the state to avail themselves of the opportunity of accessing quality and affordable healthcare without pain, as well as protecting their families from financial hardship of huge medical bills.”

He urged the public to visit the headquarters of the Agency located adjacent the office of the Head of Civil Service along Shendam Road, Lafia, for further information.

Dr. Gaza Gwamna also appealed to civil servants in the state to pick their enrolment forms at various ministries, departments and agencies.

It would be recalled that the governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, had flagged-off the State Health Insurance Scheme on 12th December, 2019, stressing that the scheme was mandatory for all residents of Nasarawa State.
