Nasarawa has been described as a peaceful state and a home to all who live there.

A former Governor of the state, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, said this in Keffi during a reception in honour of Dr. Samson Adewale Adegoke who just retired as Director of Finance and Accounts, Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, organised by Keffi Youths Coalition Forum (KYCF).

Sen. Adamu, who was the chairman of the occasion, said, “I know this man who was born and raised in Keffi, he has worked and lived all his life here despite being a Yoruba man and a Christian. But I never heard his name in any wrong doing in Keffi, Nasarawa and the nation at large. I call on our youths to emulate his good qualities to live in peace and harmony where they may find themselves. I wish him well in his new endeavours in life.”

Adamu, therefore, called on the youths to embrace farming as President Mohammadu Buhari had fulfilled all his campaign promises with accomplishments in agriculture, economy, security and the fight against corruption.

He said the Buhari administration had kept its social contract with Nigerians by putting the nation on the path of sustainable growth and development, diversifying the economy like never before, tackling corruption at its very core and devising creative measures to secure lives and property.

“I call on Nigerians to re-elect President Buhari back to office in 2019 to enable him complete all the good works he has started,” he said.

Speaking earlier, the celebrant, Dr. Samson Adewale Adegoke, said associating with the youths was always interesting and rewarding, particularly those in Keffi, who had times without number characteristically demonstrated qualities that portrayed them as leaders of tomorrow.

The Emir of Keffi and the Chief of Kwandare were represented at the event, while Yoruba, Igbo and many community leaders in Keffi and Nasarawa State attended the event.
