The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, Bola Longe, has banned the use of bangers and other unauthorised fireworks during the festive season.
The CP, who gave the directives to the senior police officers in the state on Sunday, also reiterated the need for them to be on the alert.

“Parents and guardians are also advised to warn their wards to desist from using bangers as police personnel will be out to arrest anyone who violates this order,” he added.
Longe also noted that the command had rejigged its strategy of fighting crime and deployed 4,200 personnel to enhance visibility policing and ensure a peaceful yuletide in Nasarawa State.
