The Memorandum of Understanding will cover planting teak trees round the polytechnic’s 2510 hectares of property.
Speaking at an honorary dinner in Ode, Ogun state, Odujinrin said the memorandum will cause a turnaround in the school’s agriculture policy and be a “major boost for the first one year of the council.”
“We have decided to do something in the first one year, and see what we hope to achieve from it,” he said.
The council also resolved to reconstitute the school’s alumni association and push to make the Nasarawa State Assembly speaker its pro-term chairman.
“When we have this in place, we can both work together in bringing the needed development to the polytechnic,” he said.
The chairman also hinted that the council is working on a public-private partnership to help improve hostel accommodation holding 500 rooms at present.
“With over 8,000 students, the hostel situation is unacceptable. We are going to involve the PPP,  as you know that government does not have money.”
