The Super Eagles star is yet to fully recover from the muscle sprain he picked in the side’s 1-1 draw match day 2 clash against Akwa United in Lafia.
However, the Solid Miners technical adviser, Mohammed Baba Ganaru has downplayed the absence of the key player in the crucial game against the Makurdi-based side insisting that they are left with no choice than to produce decent result in the match.
“Abubakar Aliyu is yet to fully recover from the muscle sprain and won’t be available for the match against Lobi Stars.
“We’ve to provide good replacement on time as the encounter against Lobi Stars is very important to us.
“We’ve not done well in the past two games we played so far not that the players are not good I think we’ve been too unlucky.
“Though the league just started and very early in the day for any one to express worries but we’ve resolved to start winning matches to help the players regain their confidence.
“I’ve confidence in the players, I know, too they understand the importance of the game and will rise to the occasion to win big against Lobi.
“Nasarawa United are a force in the domestic league and will shortly stamp their foothold on the log,” said the former Kano Pillars coach to supersport.com.
The Lafia-based side have a point in their kitty from a possible nine in the three-week old Nigeria top flight though with less number of matches.
