Nasarawa Speaker appeals to residents to vote in 2019 elections

The electorate have been enjoined to collect their PVCs from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to enable them to vote.

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, made the call in his hometown, Umaisha, Toto Local Government Area.

“I call on Nigerians in general, the people of Nasarawa State and of my constituency who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) with the INEC to do so in order to exercise their civic right during the 2019 elections.

“I am appealing to the people of my constituency and the state at large to use this last segment of distribution of PVCs by INEC to collect their voters’ cards to enable them vote. This is the time we should face the reality, because for them to get more government presence they must be part of the government,” he urged.

Balarabe-Abdullahi, who is also the Vice Chairman, North Central, Nigeria Conference of Speakers of State Legislators said, “I am meeting the electorate who are my people and the traditional, political, religious leaders, youth, women and social groups among others groups to let them know that they need PVC to qualify to vote and they should vote massively for President Buhari and other APC candidates.”

The speaker emphasised that President Buhari was on a rescue mission, hence the need for Nigerians to give him maximum support to enable him take the country to the next level.

He said the achievements of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari have made the APC the winning party in Nasarawa State in particular and Nigeria in general.

Alhaji Balarabe-Abdullahi called on voters in the state to deliver 90 per cent of their votes to President Muhammadu Buhari, APC governorship candidate Engineer Abduallahi Sule and all candidates of the party come 2019 general elections.
