A scholarship award has been instituted in memory of a late veteran journalist, Malam Rufa’i Ibrahim.
The award was instituted by Ibrahim Ibrahim, a philanthropist and politician in Nasarawa State.
The late Rufa’i, until his death at the age of 66, was the editor-in-chief of the Peoples Daily newspapers. He served in different capacities with many media organizations.
Ibrahim, speaking in Abuja, recently, said the scholarship was instituted to assist indigent students and highlight the contributions of the late Rufa’i to the development of journalism profession and education in Nasarawa State.
