Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) has solicited the support of the state House of Assembly and other stakeholders to tackle all forms of unethical conduct that will undermine the institution.

Professor  Suleiman Mohammed, Vice Chancellor of the university, stated this on Tuesday when he received Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) Committee on Education.

“We will be fair, just and transparent. Everything will be based on the time-tested principle of rule of law and there will be no sacred cow in fighting unethical conducts in this institution.

“Not attending lectures regularly, not attending to students’ scripts and projects, selling of handouts and books, sexual harassment, collecting money to attend to students, keeping students on long queue, altering scores, examination malpractice, among others will not be condoned,” he said.

Professor Mohammed said: “The university will not tolerate among the students, unethical conducts like membership of secret cult, cheating in exam halls, not attending lectures, fighting and abusing, rape, indecent dressing, prostitution, among others.”

Earlier, Mr Daniel  Ogazi, chairman of the committee said “We are here to assess your budget performance for this year with the view of addressing any challenge if discovered.”

He assured of the assembly’s readiness to do everything possible to make the institution a world class university.
