The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has called on Nigerians to pray fervently for peace, stability and continued peaceful coexistence of Nigeria amidst security challenges.  

President of the society, Alhaji Ayodeji Abdulrauf Abdulwahid, made the call during the organisation’s annual Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power).

The night of majesty is observed during the last ten days of Ramadan and is regarded as a night of immense spiritual value, believed to be better than a thousand months.

Addressing the congregation, Abdulwahid described the night as a period of mercy, forgiveness, and divine elevation, urging Muslims to use it to deepen their faith and seek Allah’s forgiveness.

He noted that the gathering was taking place amid global challenges such as conflicts, economic hardship, and humanitarian crises, which have displaced millions and left many struggling with uncertainty.

“These challenges remind us of our shared humanity and our collective responsibility as members of one Ummah. When one part suffers, the rest must feel the pain,” he added.

The NASFAT president urged Muslims to offer prayers for peace in conflict zones, relief for the oppressed, and healing for those facing hardship, while also praying for stability and prosperity in Nigeria.

He cautioned against interpreting global political tensions as religious conflicts, referencing ongoing issues involving countries like the United States, Israel, and Iran.

“Muslims must not allow these tensions to create divisions within our communities. They are largely struggles for influence rather than religious differences,” he said, warning youths against extremist narratives.

Abdulwahid also encouraged members to embody NASFAT’s mission by promoting peace, unity, and development in their daily lives.
