The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) Women Wing Kubwa Abuja branch has urged the wealthy to help the indigent as part of measures to ensure peace, progress and development of the nation.

The leader of the group, Alhaja Simbiat Salaudeen made the plea at the 18th annual women week of the association in Abuja and themed “There is no help except from Allah”.

According to her it is not the wisdom of the rich that they have, and also that it is not the lack of capacity that made the needy, but that it is the wish of Allah to give to whom He chooses.

“It is important that the elites and the wealthy help the poor, it is a collective responsibility and the commandment of Allah that the needy in the society be help,” she said.

The Proprietress of Nurul Bayan International Academy Hajiya Maryam Mohammed Tahan who was the Guest Speaker urged women to see themselves as partners in the developmental progress of the nation and mankind rather than being concerned with only the mundane and pleasures of live.

Also, the Chief Missioner of the branch Ustaz Abdulafees Assuyuty Al-Iwowiy, urged Nigerians to turn away from iniquities and embrace righteousness and good deed for the benefits of here and hereafter.  

The occasion also witness the presentation of award to 15 distinguishes women in and outside the branch for their contribution to the society and Islam, the unveiling of Nasfat Support Shop and monetary gift for 10 branch members for punctuality and other contributions to the growth of the branch.
