Members of the diplomatic corps in Abuja, government officials and other special guests join the Iranian Ambassador to Nigerian, Saeed Koozechi on Friday night in Abuja for a duo celebration of the anniversary and of a new regime in the country.
Ambassador Koozechi disclosed that the present administration in Iran is working towards resolving the nuclear issue with the launch of active foreign policy that led to negotiation with the 5+1 countries.
He said that the sanctions placed on his country over nuclear weapons were eased leading to the visit of many foreign dignitaries and delegations to Iran.
The achievement that follow the negotiation, he said, indicated the peaceful purpose of the nuclear programme and desire of his country to eliminate ambiguities and building confidence through transparency and fulfillment of her international obligations.
On the bilateral relations, the envoy said his country is ready to consolidate its ties with Nigeria in various areas based on mutual respect and non interference in the internal affairs of each other.
Speaking at the occasion, the Director in-charge of Gulf and Middle East in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hassan Muhammed noted the cordiality of the relationship between both countries saying Nigeria is committed to growing the ties.
Popular Iranian dishes were such as Ghorme Sabzi which is made of vegetables and meat and Lubia plou, Kufte were served to the relish of guests.
