Navy takes free medical treatment to Ogun village

The Nigerian Navy (NN) at the weekend offered free medical treatment to over 300 rural dwellers in the oil-rich Tongeji Island in Ipokia LGA of Ogun State.

Recall that the Nigerian Navy Training Command’s (NAVTRC’s) chapter of the Naval Officers Wives Association (NOWA), in October, 2023, patterned the Olota of Otta, Oba Adeyemi Abdulkabir, on a one-day free medical outreach for rural dwellers in the community, during which over 500 people benefited.

Again, the medical team of the navy was in Tongeji Island to embark on a free medical treatment for the inhabitants of the isolated island which is about 50 minutes away from the closest town in Nigeria but about 10 minutes away from Port Novo in Benin Republic.

The free medical Rhapsody program was rolled out by the chief of Naval staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel I Ogalla at the weekend.
