Nayina: A perfect example of a good quality

It is with sorrow, pains, anguish and deep sense of loss: I sincerely commiserate with all Nayina’s family members, the ICPC chairman, the management and entire staff of the Commission over the death of our dear Nayina. After a very brief illness, Nayina was taken away from us on Wednesday, 26th of January, 2011 after a successful completion of a mercy mission. Nayina who hailed from Numan Local Government of Adamawa state was a perfect example of a good quality.

The Almighty God endowed Nayina with wisdom and the distinction of brilliance. As a result of her well focused bearing, she offered meaningful contributions to the development of so many initiatives of the Commission; such as the National Anti-Corruption Volunteer Corps (NAVC), Anti-Corruption Surveys and so many incisive and very rich reports of the Commission’s activities for publication in the ICPC Monitor, ICPC News, Integrity News and “Corruption Must Go” television Programme. Her death has created a vacuum that can hardly be filled.

Nayina is a lady with a superior grade of character that is just good and was developing in upward direction on daily basis. She could be fondly remembered as a very kind hearted, detribalized person who lived an exemplary life full of hope for a brighter future.

Her character personalized a true picture of a Nigerian with an optimal spirit of nationalism and patriotism to move this country forward; with sterling commitment to duty. The Commission has indeed really missed a credible and trustworthy staff.

It is painful to me bearing the death of an icon-Nayina. I pray that the Almighty God will give Nayina’s family, the ICPC Chairman, the management and entire staff of the Commission, the fortitude and perseverance to bear the irreparable loss.

We all believe Nayina got out with her greatness intact. Please, rest in the bosom of your Lord.
