The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud (SAN), has constituted the 2017 NBA Technical Committee on Conference Planning (TCCP) under the chairmanship of Professor Konyinsola Ajayi, SAN.

A statement by the General Secretary of the bar, Barrister Isiaka Olagunju, said the committee is saddled with the responsibility of planning and organizing the 2017 NBA Annual General Conference slated to hold in Lagos.

He said the conference, which is usually the largest gathering of lawyers in the world, not only provided them the opportunity to discuss issues of national importance, exchange ideas and experiences, but also a platform for continuing professional development.

 “The president congratulates the members of the committee and urges them to bring in their wealth of experience to bear on this important assignment,” he said.

He added that the 26-man committee would have Dr. Garba Tetengi (SAN) as the alternate chairman while Barrister Muritala Abdul-Rasheed would serve as its secretary. The inauguration of the committee is scheduled for today, April 11, 2017.
