A release signed by Baba Jibo Ibrahim, the Public Relations Officer Kano High Court, stated that the call was made during the weekend by Kano State Chief Judge, Honourable Justice shehu Atiku, at the Royal Tropicana Hotel venue of the seminar. The Chief Judge emphasised on the need for safeguarding democracy and Rule of Law which he said was very necessary for the sustainability of peace and tranquillity in the state and the nation at large.

Justice Shehu, who thanked the NBA for organising the seminar, said the symposium would make lawyers current especially in facing the day to day challenges of the legal profession. He also used the opportunity to call on the Kano State government to organise more seminars and workshops for judges and lawyers.
