Ahead of the now suspended 2021 NBBF elections,  support has continued to come the way of one of aspirants, Igoche Mark, as the Head Coach of basketball in the FCT, Emmnauel Odah has said the proprietor of Mark Mentors is the right man to represent North Central zone on the new NBBF board.

It will be recalled that the Congress of the NBBF had fixed October 30 as the date for elections in Benin City but the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development suspended the process indefinitely citing intractable problems that have engulfed the sport federation as reason for its decision.

However, the relevant stakeholders are making concerted efforts to ensure the elections are held as soon as possible.

Consequently, Odah since the North Central plays a crucial role in basketball development in the country, the zone must be represented by a credible and competent stakeholder like Mark.

“When the centre doesn’t hold, things will fall apart. The North Central zone is key to the development of basketball in Nigeria.

“So, we need a leader who has worked his talk with prudence and evidence. IG Mark is remarkable,” he said.

Mark who is also the founder and sponsor of National Division one team, Apa Flames of Otukpo is vying to represent Niger, Kogi, Benue, Kwara, Plateau and the FCT on the board of the NBBF.
