The Regional Sustainable Energy Centre of Excellence for Sub Saharan Africa (RSECE) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nigerian Building and Roads Research Institute (NBRRI) for housing projects to the tune of N8.3 trillion.

Executive Director, RSECE, Ibrahim A. Trader, during the signing ceremony which was held at the NBRRI headquarters in Abuja yesterday, said his company is partnering with four core key foreign investors to develop affordable houses in several states across the country.

“The signing of the MoU for the N8.3trn project with NBRRI is a milestone event as NBRRI also shares the vision and added that the Federal Ministry of Finance will provide the management guarantee.

In his remarks, the DG/CEO of NBRRI, Engr Prof Samson Duna, commended the effort of RSECE and said NBRRI, which is 40 years old, is well suited for the project because it was established to conduct integrated applied research and development into the various aspects of the building and construction sectors of the economy.
