National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), PLAN International and the Lagos State College of Health Technology are working to produce the first curriculum for paramedics study in the country.
PLAN International is an independent child centered international development organization committed to advancing the rights of children and fight against poverty.
Speaking at a recent stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos, the provost of the college, Dr Moyo Kasim said work had reached advanced stage in the bid to come up with a national curriculum for paramedics programme. He said the work was in conjuction with NBTE and PLAN.
Kasim said, “There are great potentials in paramedics programme especially in providing employment for graduates in fire departments, manufacturing plants, government departments, ministries and agencies.”
