NCAA Lauds Progress on Gusau Airport Project

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has commended the Zamfara State government for the progress recorded in the ongoing construction of the Gusau airport.

The Director of the authority, Ahmad Abba, gave the commendation during an inspection visit to the project site in Gusau.

Abba, who was received by the state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Lawal Barau Bungudu, toured key sections of the airport project and was briefed on the level of work completed and ongoing construction.

Speaking during the visit, the NCAA director expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and the pace of development at the site, noting that the project shows a high level of compliance with national aviation standards.

He said the professionalism demonstrated at the construction site reflects the commitment of the administration of Dauda Lawal to infrastructure development in the state.

Abba also commended the governor and the supervising commissioner for what he described as effective supervision and dedication to ensuring that the airport project meets the required aviation regulations.

According to him, the level of progress achieved so far indicates that the project is on course for completion and operational readiness.

The inspection team was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Haruna Dikko Gusau, the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Ibrahim Musa Agigi, directors in the ministry and other government officials who provided technical briefings during the visit.

The NCAA director assured the state government of the authority’s continued support and cooperation to ensure that the airport attains full operational status in line with established aviation regulations.
