NCAC executive director, Mr. M. M Maidugu at a press briefing Friday said that the meeting will deliberate on and initiate plans  that will contribute to a  robust input by the culture sector to the transformation agenda of the present administration.

It will also discuss and adopt the NAFEST 2012 syllabus and the preparation for the 5th edition of the African Arts and Crafts (AFAC)  expo 2012 and other important national  cultural events.

He  further said that members have been intimated in ensuring that the plans and programmes that will come up for discussion should unveil new initiatives and those cultural elements that are of important  in bridging the gap of peace, unity, integrity, good neighbourliness entrepreneurship and hard work which the theme of NAFEST 2012 intends to address.

Maidugu said that the 2-day meeting is to be declared open by the Governor of Niger State Babangida Aliyu.
