Barrister Afam Ezekude, Director General of the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), disclosed this to newsmen over the weekend.
He said that the NCC operatives acted on a tip off by some law professors who at the conference.
The professors had informed the NCC operatives that some of the retail booksellers at the conference venue were selling pirated copies of their works.
He said the commission swung into action and with the help of the police arrested four suspects who were later taken to the police station.
He said the suspects would soon be prosecuted. He warned other pirates to desist from the act and look for legitimate business.
