The National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) said it has concluded verification exercise in almost all the private colleges of education in the country.

The Deputy Director, Public Relations, Suleiman Garba Kura, in a statement said the exercise, which covered all private colleges of education in all the six geopolitical zones, started in April this year and recently came to an end.

The exercise,he said, covered the verification of the organisation, administration, curriculum implementation, academic programmes and other aspects of development in the colleges.

“The essence of the exercise was to see what is happening in the colleges since they were given provisional approval to start mounting NCE programmes,” he said.

Kura said the commission would analyse the data collected and advise the colleges to improve on areas of deficiency in conformity with the minimum standards of the commission.
