NCS seeks NITDA partnership on cyber security, employment generation

NCS’s President Prof David Adewunmi, who disclosed this when he led the executive members of the professional body to visit NITDA in Abuja, said collaboration is needed to tackle cyber crimes and employment challenges in the country.
According to Prof Adewunmi, there are many loopholes in our legislation which could be exploited by cyber criminals to get off the hook.
  He also expressed NCS readiness to join force with NITDA to organize IT jobs and career fair to boost employment generation drive of the government.
Earlier in his address, the acting Director General of NITDA Dr Ashiru Daura said the agency is intensifying its efforts to make IT touches all corners of the country.
Dr Ashiru said NITDA would partner with NCS to build an inclusive  and globally competitive IT sector that will be the envy of other African countries.
He commended the new NCS executive and urged them to embark on programmes that would further make ICT ubiquitous in the country.
