Participants will be quartered in hostels for male and female and fed three times daily and trained in well-equipped workshops in eight trades: plumbing, auto-tronics, computer engineering, furniture making metal fabrication, electrical installation G.S.M. services and fashion design.
Coordinator of the NDE in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Mr. Romiluyi Oludare Newton during the occasion, cautioned the 100 trainees selected for the skills acquisition training in vocational and technical skills to adhere strictly to laid down rules and regulation or be shown the way out of camp.  
Oludare said beneficiaries should count themselves lucky because thousands applied for the scheme from all over the FCT, just as he reminded them that the NDE is gradually shifting from training its participants informally through individual master trainers to a more formal school setting which is obtainable at the new model skills centre.
Mr. Newton assured the trainees and their trainers that the Director General of NDE Mallam Abubakar Mohammed is very passionate and committed to the success of the pilot training, particularly considering the huge financial investment put into completing the skills acquisition centre for this training to commence and run successfully for the duration.
He explained that centre occupies three hectares of prime land in Kuduru, Bwari and comprise of completed and furnished administrative block, ICT centre, classrooms, equipped workshops, 150 bed male and female hostels, kitchen and dining hall, a  3,000 gallon water tank and a 30 kva standby generator in case of public power failure.
