The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) on Friday flagged off training for a fresh set of youths in its School on the Wheels (SOW) programme in Benue State.

The Director General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, said a total of 160 unemployed persons were to undergo the training in eight states of the federation.

Fikpo, represented by an official, Onyedinafo Liza, noted that the trainees under the SOW scheme were expected to take the training seriously so that in the end those who performed well would be resettled with starter packs.

Also, the acting State Coordinator of NDE, Akile Patrick, explained that 20 out of the 160 selected trainees across the eight states were drawn from Benue State for a three-month intensive training in skills acquisition.
