NDE partners institute to curb business failure

This was disclosed recently at NDE headquarters in Abuja when the management of the institute paid a courtesy call to the directorate with the aim of partnering on the provision of qualitative training to businesses in the country.
Director General of NDE, Malam Abubakar Mohammed while explaining the partnership said new ideas must be deployed to meet the current challenges facing businesses in the country.
“We must begin to query our practices; we must also begin to ask what is it that we are doing that we shouldn’t do. What this country needs at this time is to re-examine ourselves, practices and strategies and see why they are not working because if 50 percent of our practices are working, we won’t be where we are today,” Mohammed said.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the institute’s delegation, Mr. Nweke Friday, said his organization primarily promotes entrepreneurship and business development.
Also over the weekend, the NDE met a youth organization, the Youth Initiative for Sustainable Human Development in Africa (YISHDA) which visited its offices on how to collaborate on mentorship for the teeming unemployed.
Abubakar assured the group, led by its founder Emmanuel Joseph Yaba that the NDE will provide free mentorship and other trainings to YISHDA and is willing to collaborate on joint projects.
